Welcome to the Neighborhood, Coco de Mer

There’s a new friend in town in New York City’s Nolita. CoCo De Mer, the UK-based ethical sex shop, has come to our shores. Founded by Sam and Justine Roddick, who just happen to be the daughters of activist and entrepreneur Anita Roddick (owner of The Body Shop), Coco de Mer invests in local artisans and seeks out Fair Trade projects.

They carry Jimmyjane’s (friend of Eco-Sex) beautifully designed, eco-friendly toys, amazing rare erotic books, and a bevy of other delights. They also hold educational “salons” called “Lessons in the Art of Loving” at their shops.

I can’t think of a better Christmas gift for NYC.
